First TV 2.0-Channel in Germany starts broadcasting

Munich, 23.APR 2007 - Germany´s first TV 2.0 projects starts on ASTRA: UPROM.TV is the first TV-Channel in Germany that broadcasts only content produced and voted by the UPROM.TV community. UPROM.TV is a Joint Venture between FiveWorks Media Development that runs the channel activities and FIDOR AG (Founding).

UPROM.TV Slogan: You are TV! For the first time in German TV the community decides what is broadcasted on UPROM.TV. Amateure producers, semi-professionals or graduaded film-school students - everybody is invited to participate. Fun Videos, documentation, citizen journalism. music and comedy, the quality will decided weather the community votes or not.

Once the producer made it on TV, votings on TV will make him the producer of the week. UPROM.TV helps the producers to enhance quality of production and content. The best ones will win production contracts from UPROM.TV and production companies.
